Misc Maintenance Questions

So I need to change the timing belt on my 4Runner soon. I'm not sure when the last time it was changed, or if it was ever changed at all.

I found this kit on ebay I was going to purchase. I believe it has everything I need for the belt change.

I also have this pulley holder that I am hoping will work.

Currently there is regular green antifreeze in the system. Should I switch over to the Toyota red coolant? Also is there anything else I should change or look at while I am at this? Any seals or belts that should be replaced?

Also how hard of a job is this belt change? I just recently changed out the rear brakes and axles seals, it wasn't too bad.

Timing belt is neither TOYOTA nor Mitsuboshi (it is Mitsoboshi in the listing), check with the seller before you buy this. This may be a typo or a deliberate act. If it is Mitsoboshi, it is FAKE!

I'd buy and use that kit all day. No worries.

The OTC 4754 tool is one handy SOB of a tool to have on hand. I have held cam gears, harmonic dampers, fan clutch pulleys, etc. with it. But I have not used it to change my timing belt yet.

Thanks for that. I actually missed the spelling. I hope its just a typo. I contacted the seller to see what they say.

From the eBay seller. I think I'll contact my dealer and see what they say.

The timing belt is made my Mitsoboshi. Which is the OEM direct manufacturer for Toyota and Lexus belts. If you buy this timing belt at your local dealership you will see that it will say 'Toyota" and "Mitsoboshi" on the timing belt
