misfire without cel

Ok...Here's the update: Installed a new spark plug boot and still runs like crap. I now have all new plugs (NGKs), plug boots, and wires.

I heard a terrible noise coming from underneath the truck the other day at the drive through. It was a metal on metal noise. I was pulling forward very slowly without applying the brake. I looked underneath the rear when I got home and I noticed that the backside of the rear driver's side drum is wet and covered with fluid. I think the axle seal might be bad. I changed the wheel cylinder a little while back so I don't think that's the issue. I am going to look at it all this Saturday.

Do you think that this might have anything to do with the vibration when I am accelerating? Only starts vibrating past 1500 rpms. Vibrates until it falls below 1500 rpms when I am slowing down also. NO vibrations in neutral and doesn't seem to miss in park either!

I forgot to add this part: I swapped the coils around and still didn't get a cel and it didn't effect the vibration after I drove it. I'm going to pull the coil packs out of the 99 this weekend (which runs great) and put them in the 98 and see what happens. If the problem is a bad coil I should be able to narrow it down this way and remedy the situation.
