Can't we get a full body shot? .........of the runner of course:thanks::thanks:
: I know what you mean... ha!
There is a full body pic on the first page.
oh I mean with the sliders now installed.
This isn't perfect but shows them better.
How's the fit between the front of the slider and the mud flap? I just tried installing mine last night, one is installed but it's actually pressing against the mud flap. It looks like the slider should be about 1/2" back from where it is. But there's no front to back adjustability.
Almost had the other side done and it seemed to be a bit farther forward but one of the bolt holes in the frame is messed up and I can't get the bolt to thread into it. Looks like I'll need a tap to clean out the threads.

Just remove the screw on the underside of the flap and it will give it enough play to sit snug against it and fit fine.
I used wd40 on a few holes and that seemed to make it much easier as some wouldnt thread that easy.
Ahh, Thanks! I had wondered about that. My wife doesn't want the mud flap to get messed up and was suggesting to either remove the flap or remove the slider. I'll remove the screw tonight. That will be a lot less effort.
I didn't think about spaying something in there last night. All of them seemed to be hard to start, I just assumed the threads probably had a lot frame paint in them. I did try for about 30 minutes to get this one started without success. I've ordered a metric tap and die set so I'll be prepared for my next attempt. It won't hurt to drive around with only one slider installed![]()
Ordered a TRD intake. :fencing:
question i guess i have is what makes the TRD one better than K&N?Put mine on last night. You'll love it!
looks like you beat me to it, =) trying to justify the cost and looking for a deal. haha

I think the trd cost about 100 bucks more.It says TRD on it lol. Seriously though, I cannot comment on a K&N setup performance wise. I prefer the TRD due to the quality of their products, the reliability, and the warranty. Fitment gives a nice, clean appearance vs the K&N being noticeably obvious as an add on. I noticed better throttle response, and it seems to have woken up the engine. Again, I've never used a K&N because I am loyal to the TRD brand. The products speak for themselves.
