Moab first week of July

My wife and I will be taking our first trip down to Moab, to do some mountain biking and wheeling. Didn't know if anyone else will be there that week. We will be there from June 30th-July 6th.

Just curious if anyone's been down that way and what all we should see/do. We plan on doing the white rim trail, ride slickrock and do Arches national park. Any other trails we should drive or mountain bike trails we should ride would be great.

I'm down that way all the time. Really, you can't go wrong anywhere you go. If you are doing White Rim, you better get your permit early.

There is a good chance I will be there then (am there today to Tuesday, too), so if you see a grey lifted 5th gen, say hi.

Come the following weekend, I'll be there with 10 FJ's and 4 4runners on July 12th-21st.

Tempting, as I have been wanting to get out to Moab for some mtb. However, I have this notion of making a week long(ish) front range bike and micro brew tour.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're going to do a lot more wheeling in your nice cool air conditioned truck than mountain biking in the July sun on the blistering slickrock.

It's HOT in the summer down there. Have fun, wish I could make it!

Yes, more wheeling then biking but we are also doing some canyoneering. Any campgrounds you guys recommend with showers and water? Hope to see some of you guys down there.

I can report the same thing as everyone else - Moab is nirvana for off-roaders! Given my timeline and bend towards mountain biking I only went off the beaten path once - onto Willow Springs Rd out of Arches NP. Piece of cake for the Trail - though a 2013 pathfinder was beached... Enjoy your trip!
