It isn't mounted to the hitch. It is welded to the ends of the frame rails, so unless he has it cut off it will stay on.

so whats the story on that tire carrier hes got. is it one of those homebrew ones that just bolt to the frame where the v8 hitch mounts? i love it and would love to know where he got the parts and any info/drawings hes got if they exist.

I was the one who made it. It was setup to be bolt on or weld on, he just had it welded on since he didnt have big enough drill bits to mount it solidly.

I wasn't sure if you wanted me to make it known or not. Again, great job. Still trying to decide what i am going to do.

I've done my research on where to buy all the necessary stuff to make your own swing out tire carrier but would you by chance know how much it cost to have them fabricated up?

I was finally able to get away to the Alabama Skyway 600-1. Just caught the tail end of the fall foliage. The leaves were down on the top of the mountain but looking out there were plenty to see. It was just me and my little mule Pepe.

Thanks man. It is a really beautiful place. I have been trying to get back up there for a few weeks but stuff kept popping up last minute.
