Monache Meadows June 25-28

Anyone have any interest in going to Monache Meadows at the end of June, June 25th through 26th?

I can set up the trip and coordinate with folks, but it will be my second time there so not exactly confident in getting to the actual area.

Anyone who has been there before and would want to go, please speak up.

I'd be interested if it was the week before or the week after (actually think it's the 4th the week after) I definitely want to check that place out and I need a vacation this summer, but I already have plans for the 27th.

Looks good to us for a day trip. Our camping days are behind us but we could stay in Bakersfield, try a meal at Johnny Garlic's and join in for a trail ride.

It's a 3 - 4 hour drive to get to Block Rock ranger station and than another 2 hours into the forest before you get there, def not a day trip :/

Have you been there before? If not, I'm sure we can navigate but it would be easier lol. I have those days off already, whats the percentage of you going?

This has been on my list for so long but as of now the timing isnt good for me. But if the stars align I'll update my status. At worst ill be headed up rock creek late july/august if anyone is around

i looked up some pics/videos and i really wanna go.... except this morning i told my sister that she can borrow my rig to go "camping" on the same weekend.

She is going to a camp ground so she doesn't even need a 4x4.

Yes this is a camping since it takes almost a whole day to get to.
In the meadows there are no camp sites, its primitive, i took a picture of my GPS when we got there and this is the lang/lat of where we were at

There's only one way in, in regards to trails. However once we are there, you can go explore as you desire but there is NO one out there so if you break down, it wouldn't be a fun experience.

Meet up time and place; I would leave my house form OC around 7ish and get to the gas station close to the '9 mile canyon road'.

from there it's about 30 minutes to an hour to the ranger station and another 1 or 2 from there to camp.

Love this place, only drawback is that it's a two hour drive in from the ranger station, and there's only one way in and out like previously stated. I will post some pictures later from my visit last year. Definitely worth the drive if you are on the fence about going.

Sorry this isn't going to happen for me due to work obligations, I have back to back implementations starting Mid September.

We should plan to go June of next year, how does that sound?
