Has anyone every had to think on their feet when deep on the trail? I recently went out on a night romp and the bolt on the strut tower came loose and the front left shock came loose deep on the trail. My friend was able to jam it back into place with a flathead screwdriver but we were unable to locate the lost bolt to secure it into place. At first we locked some vise grips to the shock tower but that only last about a quarter of a mile until it too fell off. Then we scoured the car for a bolt that might fit. Believe it or not the bolt off the tow hitch package actually fit right on. Saved us from getting stuck 12 miles deep from anything in the middle of the night. Check out the pic of the vise grip that we rigged to the shock tower. Funny stuff.
