Hey Everyone, So I'm looking to replace my struts and went to Pep Boys to see what they have. While not in stock, the guy at the counter said that Monroe has a reasonably-priced set under their "Max Lift" brand. Here's Monroe's website: Monroe Max-Lift Gas Charged Lift Support is an Exact Replacement for OE Units Searching for a good price, I found them for $14.57 each with free shipping at Strutmasters: Monroe Shocks 901446: TOYOTA TRUCK - 4 Runner [1996 - 2002] : MAX-LIFT GAS-CHARGED LIFT SUPPORT Couldn't find any reviews here...anybody try these out?

Made in USA for $44 with free Prime 3-5 day shipping, plus they come with the upper brackets, which means no reusing the old crumbling stock bushings like the Monroes make you use

Sweet, I have been looking at liftgate struts for a while now, just pulled the trigger on this set. Awesome price and if they are as good as they appear I will be very happy. No more headaches!
