Moonroof / Sunroof do you ever use it ??

Never used in previous vehicles so we did not order with current 4Runner.

I despise sunroofs and actually wish mine didn't have one. I've owned targa and t top as well as other cars with sunroofs and I've hated them all. I almost didn't buy my 4runner just because of the sunroof if it hadn't been the only 4x4 available in my area I wouldn't have.

Nope....is was standard on the "sport package" in 2005 but I have only really used it a handful of times. It's loud at highway speeds and I rather have the extra head room. Sunroof was not part of the Pro package in 2017 and I don't miss it!

I honestly never use mine either. The wife doesn't use it on her car either and she has a Maxima with the full glass roof. Only have it because it came with it.

I have one in my WRX and most recent cars I've owned. I open the one in the WRX every chance I get, and the shade is pretty much always retracted. They are pretty much a requirement now that I've had them.

However, after driving/sitting in 4Runners with and without when we made our purchase last summer, I was really surprised by how much headroom the sunroof ate up in the 4Runner. The back seats felt especially claustrophobic with the sunroof. For roughly the same price, I convinced my wife that a TRD ORP without rather than an SR5P with was the way to go. Three months later she learned the value of the locking diff while she was driving exiting a steep wash on a tough trail in Utah and she now appreciates the trade off. I do miss having the sun roof on warm days, but lowering the rear hatch glass somewhat makes up for it.

Absolutely refused to have one. In addition to losing 3" or so of headroom they leak and/or make noise. When I had one on other vehicles never used it. Luckily, 2017 and up Offroad Premium the sunroof was optional.

Love mine at night and when wheeling in the mountains. Wouldn't have a vehicle without it.

I have a 2018 Limited. This is the first vehicle I ever had that has a sun roof. Haven't really used it yet. Since I barely use mine, should I put vaseline or something around the seal to keep it from "sticking" when I open it a long time from now?

wife has a sunroof in the minivan, never gets used..only reason we got it was because we liked the color of the van and it came with it..when I bought the 4R I specifically didn't want the sunroof, it's parked outside..heard too many stories about leaks and clogged drains..living in Florida that's the last thing I want to think about.

1987 here. I keep the sunroof open and the windows down so often that the cabin air filter barely gets dirty.

The pollen blows, the pollen blows out...

Opening my moon roof allows me to vent the smell of illegal drugs when the cops pull me over!

Seriously...this is the first vehicle I've owned that has one.
I have a hard time dealing with wind smacking me in the face when I drive,
so the moon roof is perfect for me.

I absolutely use my sunroof.
I am a little concerned about it though as it's really starting to rust!

Waiting for an aluminum LFD Off-road 3/4 rack just because I want unencumbered views out my sunroof. Don't have a huge tent to put on top so 3/4 is good with me.

Mine is open as much as possible. It is also really nice on the 3rd gens that the rear window open to allow for better air flow.

Same. Mine is open whenever possible, plus the back window is constantly down.
