so youre saying...put old tomtom SD card in reader, copy all files to...in this case a folder on your computer (unless you have 2 SD card readers) then put new 2GB SD card in copy files back to card and should be good to go?

Bren583 said:Yes, thats basically what worked for me and a few other people I have heard from. If it doesn't work right away, insert the NEW card into the reader and open Tomtom home. It should recognize it as a tomtom device. Then all you have to do is "update" it in tomtom home and it should work fine. If it doesn't, call tomtom and they will give you a site to DL new app software to put on the card.
Hope it helps,

I have only had it back for 3 days and have yet to back it up. Does anyone know if it is better to use the version of TomTomHome from the disk that comes with the TomTom, or to use the newer version from their website?

I'm going to talk to my sales guy and get my hands on the new version. Is it free? What do we need to tell them? That toyota issued a recall on the card?
boostedprozac said:OMG!!! I got off work...went to my car...started it up...then. Something different this time. It shows the tomtom in a cartoon type.......with the memory card popping up..with an X on it.
Is this what you guys are seeing? I got the 4100........sounds like I'm in the same boat.
Can someone send me the contents of the update so I can load it to another memory card?
