You finding these in junk yard or websites? I was looking at Marlin last night, but they want $1600 with a $500 core refund.

I'm also really interested in the lca's. I had planned on replacing mine (mainly for the bushings) this fall. Will the lca's come with poly or rubber bushings?

The rear LCA's that I make come with poly bushings. I'm not going to take orders for those for a month or two. I need to build new jigs, and come out with my roof rack first.

I meant for the front lca's, if you do produce them in the future. Are you planning on using poly on those?

The fronts would be poly or delrin. Those are going to be out a bit, but I'm still planning on doing something.

Got my new LCA's finished and installed.

I know you made these for a little while.. But I was wondering what bushings you got to make these??.. Looks like Johnny joints on one side but the other are????
I want to make my own... Any help on where to purchase bushings would be very helpful! Thanks

They look like standard bushing rod ends to me. Similar to these?

Summit Machine Flex Joints, and their Poly Bushings. You can find them on Google, but I don't know what list price is.
Flex Joint- SM-FJM (2-3/8", 9/16" bore)
Poly Bushing- SM-PB-200-A (2-3/8", 9/16" bore)
Better than those.

I think I may have one for $450 here, but we'll see. I need to get this thing back on the road. I already tired of driving the Rover, and it's only day 2!

Just curious, what is making you tired of driving the rover? Is it just because you have your 4runner way more built, or because its more fun to drive than the Rover? Asking because ive never driven a disco but love the way they look.
Oh and PS although some more populated areas you can get a trans for $300, $450 is not really a bad deal if it has reasonable mileage. Id say go for it if youre in a hurry to get the runner back up and running.

The Rover is built up a little with a 2", and 31's. It's just too boxy, ugly, and it's not my 4runner. Plus I get 12 mpg in the Rover, and 18 mpg in the 4runner.
4runner transmissions are pretty scarce in my area. There are a couple people on here that will ship to me, but I'm hoping to find one locally to save some money.
Eagles Eye's are in and working.
Just showing you how bright 2 of these are.
I assume these are on a switch, where did you put it and where did you pull power from, wont have time to do for this weeks camping trip, but could by the next one, mid august

You can see the switch in the first picture. In the second picture you can see a tiny blue dot, and that is the switch with lights on. If you pull the rear panel off you have a wire harness that's for the rear window. I tapped into the power for the rear window, and grounded the lights there as well. You have very limited room to mount anything on that panel. So make sure you drill your holes in the correct spot the first time. I'm pretty sure there are two plastic plugs that you can remove, and install the lights in those locations. I had to mount the switch a bit higher up just to get the clearance I needed for terminals.
You can take a test light to find the power. I'm pretty sure there's a thicker red wire in the harness that I used for power.

It's sitting in my front room right now. I'm hoping to get some paint on it this weekend. I never had time to get it on before I left to hike the AT. Plus, now my wife is nagging my to get it out of the way. Seems like I have a lot to do this weekend.

A lot going on this week on the 4runner.
In order of importance:
1. Transmission swap
2. Torque converter swap
2. Transcooler install
3. Thermostat install
4. Radiator cap install
5. Trans-temp gauge install
6. Subaru field monitor install
7. Ultra-gauge install
8. Fix CB radio
9. Finish carpeting platform
That should keep me busy for the week and weekend.
