MTS / offorad Settings for deep sand

Will MTS work in 4hi? I was under the impression it would only work in low range.

Part of this journey is the first time I'll get to go offroad and learn how all this stuff works so thanks for humoring my stupid questions.

MTS works in 4hi on the first setting only (mud/snow/sand). The other settings are only available in 4lo.

Use the sequential gear selector to ensure you're always on the gas, no matter what the speed. If you let go of the gas in deep sand, you'll likely get stuck.

Don't be hard on the gas, just enough not to have to back off it. Hence the manual gear selection.

I managed to have fun and NOT get stuck! There were a couple times in deep sand it started to get a little hairy, but it powered through. I definitely like Matagorda and will be making it a place I really frequent

I didn't go too far, maybe 2 miles or so. We brought our dog with us and he was having too much fun playing on the beach to interrupt him to go drive more lol

Nice. When you have another vehicle with you, keep going North. The shell banks are pretty cool to check out

You'll know The beach will basically become hard pack and sort of paved with nothing but shell.

I can tell you that crawl control has got me out of being stuck to the frame. It takes a while, but it works really well.

How long? I tried to leave it on for few mins but no luck

Yep. Mostly from the ships in the Gulf and even Atlantic. Hardly any household trash up that far...

Took about 3-5 min. It built up enough for me to then back up a bit then drive forward and out
