I would say that this mod really only works well with the sport flares judging by the pics. It looks like the best bet would be to get a set of flat guards and mount them along the inside wheel well.

Well its good to know I'm not crazy, drove me nuts for 2 hours. Looks like the flat "rally" style it is. It bothers me not to have a flap up front, it just looks unbalance with the rear flap. So for others looking at this it seems these flaps will work on sport model flares only not limited models.

I spied these on Amazon. Wanted to have something in front when I remove my running boards to weld on the sliders. [MENTION=55060]PrelateBishop[/MENTION], are these the same mud flaps that you mentioned?

I found a Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo and took the flat style rear mud flaps off, cut off some excess that sticks inside of the wheel well and screwed them on with the factory flare mounting screws. Looks a lot like the Tacoma front mud flaps, fits, very minor modification and paid less than $10 at LKQ. No pics now but I can get one if I remember to.

I have a 96 Limited and removed the running boards and the mud flaps fit great. Forgot to get pics last night, sorry guys.

I have a 96 SR5 with the thin rubber and crome fender trim. I bent and banged up my running boards on rocks so I took them off. Without mud guards up front I was getting mud flung up on my doors. I had the windows half way down as I usually do and in a turn had mud flung onto my face, sunglasses, shirt and passenger seat! I bought the Highland Contura Splash Guards (model H). They fit well with some inside cutting. The model G may have fit better in the front but I didn't know that. Anyway these offer plenty of protection and come out even with the BFG ATs I have.
