Mudguards+285's

I got some Toyo Open Country AT2's today. They look great, but I'm rubbing bigtime against the front mudguards up high where they attach. Anyone running mudgaurds and 285's? If so, what's your secret?

Have the Castor moved forward or positive as close to 4 as you can. You might have to do the inner fender mod, but I think you will really like the results. (Not to mention the lack of rubbing on the mudguards). Be Safe.

I used a razor knife to trim the front mudguards in a couple of obvious places at it doesnt rub now. I had more problems with the tires rubbing the plastic fender liner in the front but loosened the bolts and reemed out a few holes to shove it forward.

Mine have been off since I put the lift on -- rubbed pretty bad. I've had plans to trim the extra plastic that's the culprit for some time now but haven't gotten around to it. I'll post some pics if I get them trimmed and back on soon (need to since we're supposed to get snow in the valley this weekend and I don't want to deal with slush buildup on my sliders/door).

Thanks for the advice guys. I already had the shop move caster to 4+. And I did the Harper7 mod to the front liners which worked great. I'm thinking the problem might be either the width of my rim (8.5" vs the 7.5-8.0" most guys on here seem to run), or the fact my lift is only 2.5"? :shrug:

Anyway, I guess I'll just start trimming in the AM...I hope it works out. If not, I hope the shop will exchange for 275's?????
