Alright I got this thing back in April I think and it came on 265/75/16 highway terrains and some ultra motorsports rims that I wasn't really a fan of.

I finally got around to putting some money into it to make it look and feel like mine.

So I've been piecing things together since black friday and finally installed everything this weekend.

Front: Bilstein 6112 coilovers

Rear: Bilstein 5100 shocks and Old Man Emu 890 springs

Rims: FN Five Star in bronze. 16x8 -25offset

Tires: Falken Wildpeak MT01 285/75/16

If budget is the biggest constraint, a 3" spacer lift will run you $100. If you're looking to do any off-roading, or even have a halfway decent ride, ditch the spacer idea and I'd go with some sort of coil spring lift. Old Man Emu, Bilstein, Toytec are all good options.

Use the forum's search feature to find info you need but this is a good place to start. Click the link "3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's" and you'll have a good base to start with.

Mr. Ned

some odd 30 years ago when I was in college and grocery shopping involved a calculator to make sure I could pay for everything... maybe your better off than I was at that time?

fitting a larger tire with just suspension lift is really no different that fitting them without, the suspension is still going to travel the same path. unless you limit the travel with bumpstops or limit straps.

the only way your really going get more tire clearance is a body lift and or different upper control arms and or different lower control arms. The Big Focking Hammer, it does also work. you also might need to mess with the rear control arms but most people don't have too much trouble in the back end.

What I just listed is could be expensive... like thousands beyond just the tire/wheel purchase.

if you are handy with that hammer and can find a cheap body lift that is probably your cheapest route.

sticking with a LT265/75R16 is probably going to make the most economic sense? like a KO2 is still 31.6" overall diam. You will still get decent gas milliage and really no trouble with clearance. it still will be tight with your stock wheels. + you will be able to drive over all kinds of things :)

unless your hardcore offroading I would suggest taking the economic route. I also understand the heart wants what the heart wants so if your ready for that next step... it will cost quite a bit more. Also I'm a dad so I'm giving you dad advise.
