The Bluetooth mic works. I was able to pair my iPhone 6+ to the T1819 radio and download my contact list into the radios memory.

Putting the center trim piece on with radio spaced out 1/8" is ok. I was wishing it more hid my screwup in trimming the bottom of the opening.

The left portion of the heater control mount must be wazoo'd also from the PO. There is a 1/8" gap on drivers side of trim around the upper left portion of the center trim to dash. I guess I'll be heat gunning that too.

Today I made a Bluetooth call to my brother. (It works) I also installed the USB cable that came today. It works selecting music on my iPhone 6+.

I also put the heat gun to the left heater control mount. Now the center trim sits flush with the dash.

The last two weeks I've been working 12hr days strait through. Tonight is my last night of work until next Monday night.

Work to be done is install oil cooler, buy a battery. (Interstate MTP24F for 115 dollars) get title transferred and tags and drive it to get readiness monitors set for inspection, as well as seeing what's up with the trans. Previous owner said it slips and his local garage said trans is shot. I found the drain plug loose and it needed 4qt to get level correct. He didn't remember draining the fluid out of it.

I also need rear tires. Hankook ATM are on the front and new when I bought it. So getting two more.

This is the trans cooler. It is smaller than my TrueCool 4589 by a little and only 1/2" thick instead of 3/4 to 1" thick for the 4589. It's made in Canada but don't know the manufacture.

Installed the trans cooler and LED reverse lamps. The guy on eBay threw in some dome light bulbs (5 of them and h handful of other bulbs that I have no clue where they go yet. They look too big to be 194's. But I haven't actually compared them to a 194 either) also put the new screws in the license plate lights along with LED bulbs I picked up from autozone while I was there getting the trans cooler mounting kit.

The cooler measures 10"X11" and is 1/2" thick.

As an update I have a elusive antifreeze leak that comes ( only when I'm not looking for it) and goes ( when I am looking for it). It drops off the heat insulation against the firewall where the CAT is and drips onto to O2 sensor and then the ground. I reclamped the heater core hoses. I know the rear heater line is rusted and started leaking antifreeze when I tweaked it pulling the engine. I must blow the lines clear to eliminate that as a possible cause.

The one heater core line (drivers side) got bent removing the rubber hose. But between my friend and I we got that aluminum tube pretty round. It's double clamped.

I found the leak thanks to my significant other. She pointed out antifreeze on the valve cover under the throttle body.

The short little line from the intake to the throttle body split.

This is a very handy tool to reach those buried hose clamps.

It appears the accident was hard on the radiator from the wrecked 96. It's got seepage coming from the lower tank seal. I ordered a new Denso from Amazon. Inspection is Thursday. I tapped the clamps tighter in the leak area with a 1/4 drive extension and body hammer. It stopped the weeping for now but don't trust it long term.

It needs rear brakes. Picked up shoes on way to work. Will replace them tomorrow afternoon. There is also evidence that a axle seal was leaking on the drivers side in the recent past.

This was the bad shoe on passenger side. It needs a brake bleed and the old nasty fluid purged out yet.

It also needs the ebrake bellcrank pretension reset. 7 clicks on the ebrake and it held under under a little throttle before shoe replacement. Now arm goes all the way up and won't hold under anything but idle. The auto adjuster was out 3/4" with old shoes. Now 1 or 2 threads max.

This is the T1819 radio installed. It's a sweet radio. All options work and holding the call button activates Siri on my iPhone 6+ and I can check and send messages with voice commands.

I'll be working 12hr days till the 28th so installing the USB port will have to wait.

I actually have 1 day off tonight. (they did ask if I'd go in at midnight for 6hr to cover someone working a half day).

I bleed the brown pudding out of the brakes. (I needed map gas to get the front bleeders to move) while doing that I noticed the front passenger brake hose is cracked. (The PO told me he replaced all the hoses) so guess that's the next project on the list. I'm replacing all three rubber lines. That should firm up my brake pedal.

The new Denso Rad is in also.

Tomorrow before work I must remember to clean the inside of the windows and the windshield. They are nasty

With gas in the tank from last July I got 19.5mpg driving 270 miles. (250 was work driving, the rest was local driving) it had a lot of idling time on that tank checking things out.

Hey guys, new here. Not to derail the thread but I just went to look at a 99 with only 130k but it kind of jerked when put into drive and reverse. Not horribly but a noticeable thud. Is this an issue? It shifts fine and drives smooth. Not sure what it is. Also, the pedal was pretty stiff and stayed somewhat depressed(not stuck accelerating though.) Is this all normal?

On newer rigs the jerk putting it into gear can be fixed with a shift learn cycle. (My jeep anyway). Could be a few things........

What pedal is stiff? Throttle or brake?

Throttle is stiff, feels almost sticky. I can't start a thread because I haven't posted enough So is the jerking an issue? What should I look for? Thanks for the reply btw.

Sticking throttle on my Saturn means it's time to remove the throttle body and clean it real good. Jerking I can't help you with. It could be worn bushings for the rear control arms or something more critical like a issue with a drive shaft U-Joint......or axle and Diff problem.

When I got the 4Runner inspected I had a pending 420 code. It stayed away long enough to pass. Two days later the check engine light came on for it. Friday before work I stopped and bought a bottle of Cataclean and put it in my 3/4 full gas tank. Today the mil light went off all by itself.....will it stay off? To be continued. I still want to get new O2 sensors for front and rear.

Miles traveled was around 140. Two days of work.

Filled up and got 21.5mpg for my work commute.

So I finally got around to working on mounting the USB charge and iPhone port. I used the blank plate just below the center console arm rest.

I'll post a picture of it in the center console when it's light outside to take a picture.
