My 1st 4runner and Hello T4R!!

I have been lurking this forum for a while now and thought it would be most appropriate to post here first. I finally pulled the trigger on a Gen3 this weekend!! With the great advice/info found here I was able to find exactly what I was looking for and within my budget

1996 4x4 Limited w/ e-locker (photo just after bringing her home)
150K miles, 3rd owner, super clean chassis, no rust and there isn't a scratch/nick/ding or anything underneath to indicate any heavy off-roading.

Step one....removed the running boards!

Not looking to go too extreme with this as I am more of a casual camper than wheeler/adventurer, so I am considering: very moderate lift (Highlander springs/new shocks - although more research is needed here), new A/T tires, some aux interior/exterior lighting, a couple of those cool red D-loops, and a roof basket. Though once this starts I'm sure I'll have a hard time stopping!!

Just wanted to introduce myself, very excited to get some mods going. Thanks in advance to everyone for the help I will need in the coming months!!

i pass there alot going to my girlfriends house downtown. actually passed 3 times today! im off of spring and studebaker.

just letting you know in advance our 4runners are the prime target for them so keep an eye out and you might want to invest in a cat lock thing

Thanks for the link man, definitely some good infos to have. I've heard of cat theft before, but didn't know the 4runner was so locally susceptible. I'll be sure to check back on your thread to see if the cops come up with anything....and will keep my eyes peeled for that silver Scion. Hope your dad is doing better...sounds like my kinda guy!!
