My 4Runner got broken in to...

Yeah but for "homeowner" insurance to be valid on something like this, doesnt it have to occur at the residence, or within so many feet of it??

Probably 15 or more years ago, we had a hay barn with about 800 bales of coastal hay in it (I lived in the country with the folks on 60 acres) A grass fire caught the barn on fire, and they lost all the hay, and the steel structure bar was melted right to the ground from the heat of the fire. had about 3 grand in the barn, and about 3 grand in the hay. Homeowner insurance would not cover it, because it was more than 50 ft from the house. It was actually about 80 feet away from the house. 6 grand lost over 30 feet distance.

Not saying another policy might cover it, just stating what we've gone through with trying to use homeowner insurance to cover a loss....

Well with a hope of luck your insurance will cover it.

On another note. Insurance actually started with farming. A farmer actually stared, hence State Farm, Famers Insurance, American Family was once another name. but I forgot it.

What happened to you was just wrong, no doubt about that. But when I have some young xgen punk drive up along side of me with those obnoxious subwoofers beating so that EVERYONE can hear them just makes me want to puke.

I am 37 and I have those subwoofers. I also have 3 kids and they love em!!!

What can I say, I love to share my music!

And to the original poster - after you get new subs, amps etc, go to a fabric store and get black fabric and staple everything down with it. Or put snaps on it. That is what I did. Out of sight, out of mind.
