Since this didn't work out for me...
Come hit me up at Saturday at the 7Leaves Cars and Coffee meet at 7225 Edinger Ave. Huntington Beach, CA
... I'll give this to anyone who wants it.
Do you still have it? Willing to drop in the mail?
The mod should work on all 2010-2019's. Depending on which wiring harnesses you have, you may need to add the sensor, or the sensor and harness.
I didn't have either of the harnesses, so I had to to add the harness, and the sensor. I can confirm that after adding both, the night dimming feature does function as expected.
.
Anyone find a cheaper sensor for the 2020 yet?
.
Wondering the same thing. This was an awesome fix on my 2015 and I am missing it on the new truck!
Installed one in my 2020 TRD Off Road yesterday. Despite the higher cost, worth every penny after driving last night.
Do you have a link? Manually tuning my screen brightness down for nighttime driving is getting old!
I checked the part numbers on parts.toyota.com for the "Sensor, Automatic Light Control"
2020 4 Runner SENSOR, AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL
This Fits Your 2020 Toyota 4RunnerPart Number: 8912106020
Supersession(s): 89121-06020; 8912150020

You can only query 2019 on toyotapartsdeal.com. They don’t have 2020 listed yet.
Toyota Part No.: 89121-06020
The vehicle options this part fits:

So it looks like 8912106020 is the latest rev and is what's being used on the TRD-PRO and Limited.
I'll give it a try when I get my 2020 SR5 Premium
If anyone wants to pay me shipping for mine, I changed head units and mine no longer is needed. PM me

To save me from reading the entire thread, what does this sensor actually do? My biggest issue with my 20 TRD Off road is the lack of auto headlights. Hoping that is it!
The sensor? Im interested. Was your wire already plugged in or did you have to also plug into the head unit?

See post #55 for directions on how to use this sensor. Not sure if it exactly applies to MY2020 and up.
