everything is flat in ND geography wise. ND is mostly a farming state.

state tree is the telephone/power pole
state bird is the mosquito

overall though the state is nice to live in imo.

Come on now, be nice, only the Red River Valley is flat.

We do have one of the best mountain bike trails in the US, you know.

RR flat? try driving around minot sometimes. only hill we have here is the valley that they built minot into. you have to get near the borders to see any decent mountain/big hills. as least when we have snow i get to out and have fun playing with my 4runner. but i still wouldnt trade the simple lifestyle ND affords compared to the big city i came from. at least i feel safe and stress free here.

Yeah, I saw that. I sometimes think pretty hard about moving, since at my technical job I could make 50-70% more in the Twin Cities. But my wife and I are happy here, although when retirement comes I don't see myself sticking around.

same here, i could be making 30-50% more outside of ND, but then i would have a comparable % jumped in everything stress related. as far as retirement, i probably will stay or move about 25-50 miles outside atlanta, since i am originally from ga.
