Got the REDARC1225D installed last month and I’ve been waiting to install my solar panel for 2 months because I’ve been working on my sons motor swap. I swapped in a IAG STAGE1COMP LONGBLOCK and dropped it with BCCOILOVERS. My solar panel is from SUNFLARE and it’s the 105W.

Getting ready to cut my IFS off as soon as I finish my front axle. My HP, 5.29, ARB 3rd member is done. Welding on shock tabs and steering stops tomorrow. I just finished assembling the Marlin Crawler 6 stud high steer arms to the Trail-gear 6 shooter knuckles. I got the Marlin Crawler 25mm steering pin upgrade. Will be throwing the knuckles on just for mocking up the steering stops.

Being the Mechanic of the Family has its good and bad. Good is I can fix something and don’t get ripped off from the Stealership or other Mechanic shop out there. Bad is I gotta fix it over what I had planned for my truck.
My wife’s 2007 Toyota Sequoia back hatch locking mechanism broke while we were out 2 hrs away from home. If it was my truck, no problem because I always carry my tools with me. It was $141.98 for this part. F-in crazy.

How ironic that my IFS driver wheel bearing went bad while I’m building my SAS front axle. There goes $210 of my money, plus my labor. On the side note: my truck has 346K and I got the truck at 176K. I’m thinking this is the OG bearing and it did it’s job. Job well done TOYOTA!

Well I finished the job yesterday, but not till after I got in a predicament. The knuckle sub assembly on the backside where the snap ring holds the bearing in broke
So now I have a truck that can’t move and I have no transportation. Called my cuz’n 5 minutes away and he came to save my a$$. We to the junkyard 10 minutes away and got a knuckle sub assembly off a 2wd 4runner. Long story short I got the job done

does doing the front wheel bearings require a press? i have a press, but i absolutely hate using it. in at 241k and im pretty sure mine are squeaking and are the OG ones as well.

YIKES! I hate when jobs get exponentially more difficult when silly things like this happen... but with auto mechanics, like Tim always say, these type of setbacks or hiccups are "par for the course"

Yup. I was trying to just make the truck run and it bit me in my ass. Sad thing is I was going to full float my rear axle while taking the 3rd out to regear, so I’m going to have to order another set of bearings for the rear again. Kinda sickening, but better to be safe than sorry

The front and rear bearings have to be pressed in.
For the front the wheel hubs and bearings have to be pressed out and in.
The rear you have to press the abs ring gear, 2 spacers, and the bearing have to be pressed out and in.
