Finally installed my street set. The black set was purchased in Washington state with the Yokohama Geolander MT G003 295/70/R18. My matching VOLK TE37 LARGE PCD rim in bronze color was also purchased in WA the same year I bought the black set in 2021. Volk no longer makes these rims and was discontinued since February of 2021. The bronze rim was sent to me the week I was leaving for Hawaii and my black set was in the Matson container a month prior. That’s why the rim was on my tire carrier coming home. So when looking for a matching tire on Oahu, Hawaii was a nightmare. The shops here wanted $700+ shipped to Hawaii. I found a single Yokohama Geolander MT G003 295/70/R18 on Amazon for $325 shipped to my house. Just for shits and giggles I bought the Rays/Volk LARGE PCD center caps for the TE37 rims and 4 matching valve stem covers.

I was getting some noise in my rear end and I decided to check it out(pull it apart). I had 3 broken teeth and now I gotta use my extra set of Nitro 5.29 gears that I brought back from Washington. I just have to order another master bearing kit to get the job done

[MENTION=107222]HiLife[/MENTION] Every one full turn you will hear a knock and the faster you go, the loader it will get. It wasn’t so noticeable at first, the knock would disappear. Then when more teeth was missing the louder it became. For now I installed a stock 3rd in there just to drive around and the broken 3rd is getting assembled as we speak.

Well 2023 has gone and passed. I broke my rears pinion gears 2x last year and once this year 2024. Another thing that iz bugging the shit out of me is that the rust never stops coming. I’m born and raised in Hawaii and while I was living in the PNW WA. for 14 years, I never has this problem. Since I came home back in July 2022, I have coated my truck going on 4x. Yah it doesn’t help that I wheel in the sand and the wave bouncing off the truck while wheeling, but damn son!
Well it’s 2024 and I’m about to jump in deep next week hopefully. I got a P0325 code last week and I’m doing massive surgery next week. Since I just hit 380K in the ticker, I’m going to do the timing belt, water pump, all pulleys, supercharger, injectors, fuel pump, and knock sensors. ****in a lot of shit, but I got to make it happen. All parts being replaced is going to be from the Stealership with Genuine Toyota Parts. I might also install Doug Thorley headers if my friend sells me his NIB set. We’ll see. Got a P0325 code and it couldn’t have come at a better time. At 380K I installed 2 knock sensors, knock sensor wiring harness, 295cc (6pcs) injectors, finished the L valve cover gasket, timing belt, cam gear seals, crank seal, water pump, 170* thermostat, pulleys #1 & #2, URD billet crank pulley, harmonic balancer, & TRD grey supercharger with a URD 2.2 pulley.

R150F swap
Well my trans blew up last month and I was saving my R150F manual transmission for a 01-04 Taco double cab build. I decided to swap the transmission in my runner. Swap was pretty straightforward. Note to self and whoever wants to tackle this swap. When installing the Manual trans you will need 3 M12x115mm bolts for the bell housing and a longer 115mm bolt for the bottom starter bolt. Trans and tcase was a breeze. The bottom peekaboo plate from the automatic transmission bolts directly to the Manual Transmission. I decided to install my TRD headers since the trans was out. Replaced the head studs with ARP stainless ones. Also replaced the shifter seats from Marlin Crawler. Have to cut the transmission tunnel a bit to make it ready for both shifters. For the brake assembly, just remove the long 14mm bolt on the top and pull the automatic brake out. Install the manual brake in reverse order. Now for the clutch, I tried watching videos and looked on forums for pictures to have a perfect drill once install. For me, I hit the top bolt on the money and the big hole for the clutch master and the bottom bolt hole was a little off. I’m in the process of making a template for this thing for future reference. THE WIRING: I am still running the Automatic trans ECU, but I will be having a 5spd ecu soon.

Wiring is done
I completed my wiring yesterday and I started the truck up. I took some cranks, but it purred like a kitten when I let it idle. The truck was loud as ****, because I’m only running the TRD headers. I have to finish my exhaust and install my 2 driveshafts and it will be done to drive.
