Not yet but I will in the next day or two. My basement got flooded with all this rain here on the East Coast. Between that and looking at 4Runners and buying parts, I've been busy.

No I didn't. Got set on eBay. I emailed the guy and bargained a little bit off his Buy It Now price, got them for $300 shipped. I was happy with that. Also means my split spokes will be for sale...

Added pics this morning so you can see how solid but dingy this thing really is. I'm home waiting for the appliance repair man today so I'm going to tackle the interior. Will update with progress and end result later today.

Mine has 187K. It was listed for $3500, I was the first person to call about it and look at it. Spent a little time there, seller was real cool. He says, "I have it listed for $3500 but I think $3000 is good." I told him I planned on offering $2800 then didn't say another word. He goes, "okay, that's cool. That way I don't have to show it to anyone else." I really planned on giving him the $3500, I thought it was priced right but since he moved, I went in for the kill.
He already bought a new one too, a 2011 4Runner so it was just going to sit. He liked that I told him I was going to put some work into it to bring it back to life. It was a win-win.

Progress today, 9/13/11: Did a major interior detail. I have about 8.5 hours into detailing it, took the seats out, pulled the cargo area carpet with them, scrubbed everything, painted the trim pice around the ebrake and the piece around the shifter. (paint is still drying.) Here are some pics, enjoy.

Seriously though, did you use the brush on the carpet? What kind of carpet cleaner did you use? My carpet looks like i've obviously flooded it... straight mud brown. But, for 8+ hours of labor I believe it'd be worth it to just order a new carpet.

Thanks guys. The elbow grease kind of goes with the theme of the build.
To clean it I actually mix up laundry detergent, diluted down a ton. I spray the rugs with Tough Stuff then scrub them with a brush from the laundry detergent bucket. Then I use that drill brush to really get at them then vacuum it all out. For the door panels and plastic trim I just scrub them with the brush in the laundry detergent then wipe them dry with a towel. Same for the seats and the leather inserts but then I go over them again with leather cleaner and then give them a good soaking over leather conditioner. I had the seats out in the sun all day so they were nice and soft, then clean up well.

Resolve + a good scrub brush has always worked well for me. Then vacuum.
PEP makes a commercial cleaner for carpet that is top notch, but it is only available for business procurement, not consumer, unless accompanied with a business license.

That looks fantastic! I did the same thing in mine last weekend as well using laundry detergent. Worked pretty well though I didn't do it as thoroughly as you did by removing all the seats. I may remove the seats and do the trunk as well to properly finish the job. I was amazed out how nasty the bottom of my shop vac was. It's crazy what builds up in a vehicle after 10+ years!

That looks totally awesome. I have a 99 and have been thinking about yanking the seats out to do this. I will have to try this in the next couple of weeks.

It was well worth the effort. Actually looks a little better today too now that it's all dried out. Wait until you guys see what I do with my exterior detail. I just need to find the time to do it.
