Do you think having a set of MaxTrax would help in a situation like that? It's not exactly digging in and getting stuck as much as it is losing traction and sliding all over the place/into a ditch.
Agreed. Slicker than owl poop when it's wet, softer than beach sand when it's dry. Oddly enough, once you make it to my gate, any 2WD vehicle can get in, it's just the stupid county road leading up to the property that causes the most grief in rainy conditions.
The county is too poor to do anything about it, but the quotes I've received for graveling are $5/sq foot, 10" deep. .
Ahh, Rocky Mountain Water!
Looks clean, right? I didn't get a shot upstream showing half the dogs in Golden playing in the creek. Dog piss gives Coors its authentic flavor.
Not so much clay as it is sandy loam soil. The county road goes from paved for about 300Y to gravel for about another 400Y then straight to sand. Not sure what sort of foundation the county laid down for the graveled section, but the road traffic is limited to very sparse traffic.
Coors Banquet is the nectar of the God's.
Allow me to educate those who have yet to appreciate the beauty of a fine beer made over a mile high.

It is the ONLY beer that passes my lips or sits on the floor of my beloved 4Runner. Ever.
This is a joke, right?
If you like that you should definitely try the Surley Coffee Bender. One of the best I have had. Not overwhelming, but subtle and definitely get the great home roasted coffee flavor.Anybody tried the Sam Adams Nitro Coffee Stout? I'm not a big beer drinker, but DAMN this stuff is good!!!
No. I love Coors and can't stand dark or craft beers.
I am a man. I mow my own lawn, change my own oil and like to blow shit up at the gun range. After those activities I want an ice cold Coors going down my gullet.
I don't want a beer that tastes like roselips, honey, sassafras and perfume. I want a beer. A mans beer.
And if I am ever at a bar and hear a dude say "This beer has a nice, piquant aftertaste" I am throwing a dart directly at his aorta to save him from what is surely to be a life of perpetual pussification. ;-)

...and the guy over at the bar drinking Guinness will be thinking the same thing...
Now, let me end this debate and thread. Ready?
The best beer of all time is...........

I do have fond memories of my Dad loading up the station wagon when driving out west and giving coors to all visitors to our house. You might be suprised how much you like beer theses days. There is some non-orange cheese out there that is worth trying as well....
