my steering feels floaty..

is that a wheel balance issue because i know they are out of balance slightly or is it the steering rack? it just doesnt feel tight, sometimes depepnding on the road surface it just floats left and right a little i dont know how else to describe it..

Years ago mine felt that way. The fix for mine was a set of poly rack bushings.

you know what now that you say tie rod ends, about a week ago i noticed a slight squeaking sound from my pass side when turning the wheel almost at a stop.

I did these and it was a huge help, my old tired steering rack needed new busings(you could shake the entire thing by hand) but after that it was still squishy and i ended up needing both outer and inner tie rods...so i bought a rebuilt rack from Oriellys, seems like it was around $200 but has a lifetime warranty. And it says "Toyoda" on it like my factory one, so looks like they are rebuilding the factory cores.
