Some of you sure do drive a lot. The FJ I just traded in was purchased new in May of 2013 and had just under 25k. That includes driving from AK (through Canada) to VA, VA to FL, and VA to IL. But hey, that is awesome! I need more trips!

I'm in So Cal and have already made two trips to the Sierras, and three trips to San Diego, which made the bulk of my miles.
On the note about LED interior lights, that was one of the first things I did (along with HIDs), and it made a huge difference. I suppose I should share which LEDs I used. I went to DDM Tuning in Huntington Beach and got:
front dome, door, and license plate lights: 194 5 x 5050
mirror flood lights (would also be good for door lights): 194 10 x 5630
vanity mirror lights: 194 1 x 5050
dome and cargo lights: 31mm festoon 4 x 5630
reverse lights: 194 4 x COB and 1 x Cree
I also changed the fog lights to the COB and Cree, but don't remember the size.
The interior and exterior lights are nice and bright, but not excessively bright (and certainly not too dim). Same with the exterior lights (the mirror and door lights are much nicer now). The fog lights seem to flood the light out rather than have any kind of beam pattern, and I try not to have them on while driving in the streets at night (only when on dark roads). The 5000K 55W HIDs are very, very nice.
Regarding your AC comment, can you clarify? I don't understand what you mean. I can have AC on with recirculate at any temperature (doesn't have to be max AC), but maybe that's not your question.
The dealer told me oil changes are included in the 5,000 mile service (he even said 5,000 and not 3,000 because they use synthetic, and they also put the sticker on my windshield saying 5,000 miles and 6 months for oil change). But they could be wrong. I've heard both 5,000 and 10,000 for synthetic oil changes. Of course, I don't mind a more frequent oil change.
I have done it. Just to clarify, Dynamat and other CDLs aren't really meant for sound reduction. They are a constrained Damping Layer (CDL), which means their purpose is to stop vibration in metal. Although you cab use enough to reduce sound levels, it is probably the most expensive way to do it. Generally you only need 25-30% coverage of the CDL.
Most of the sound reduction will come from the next 2 layers (and less $ per sq. ft) Closed Cell Foam (CFM) and Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV). These can be found in the $1 sq. ft. range vs. $3-$5 range for the CDLs.
Here are some pics of the install I did of noise reduction. I only put about 200 miles on the 4Runner before installing so can't really say how well it worked, other than I can pretty much only hear my M/Ts and you can carry on a conversation at a whisper level at 80 mph.

could look into the ASL function on the oem head unit.
it will raise/lower the volume automatically depending on interior white noise.

I used a generic dynamat that I purchased off of a car audio forum. Much cheaper than the real thing. It did make the vehicle quieter and my midbass sounds so much better. The only problem I am experiencing is now I can hear the noise from the antenna and it is driving me nuts.
First world problems...

I went to check out your noise reduction install, and ended up going through most of your build page, lol! It was very interesting to read, and so many helpful photos.

Didn't realize there's such a feature on the radio, but I'll look into it.
Any pics of the light output of the LED reverse lights? I am looking for something brighter since I have 20% tint on the front side windows, I usually have to roll them down to see the mirrors since it is dim behind the truck. I was figuring I would just have to add auxiliary lights, but maybe these would put out a good amount of light?
Auto Sound Level. It's a setting that determines how much to increase the volume as you increase speed. Then decreases it back as you reduce speed. OK for highway use but gets annoying in stop and go traffic in town.

I don't have any pics at the moment, but can probably take some in a few days. I'm going out of town in the morning, so I can't do it now.
I'll say it's brighter than the stock bulbs (advertised as 650 lumens per bulb), but at night, I can see more through the rear view camera than I can through the factory-tinted windows. I think those LED Cubes would make for more significant nighttime visibility. That might be something I would consider in the later future.
