I actually am an estimator at a body shop. I got to see the estimate that was wrote on the truck as it was at my shop. The estimate was almost $74k in repairs lol.

Actually kind of miss that job, but not the hours(Body Shop estimator, and asst shop manager(formerly)). Glad the vehicle did its job and insurance is taking care of you. Something that always intrigued me from being in the industry. But may I ask what carrier you are with for insurance?

After the truck stopped, i released me belt and was out in 30 sec. the paramedics that arrived told me that wasnt prolly the best idea...I told them I could have had broken arms and legs and I would have crawled out of the truck, nothing was gonna stop me from getting out lol. sitting in there upside down, with all the bags blown out and the radio buzzing at me was an awkward thing.

This job is stressful at times. Searching for used parts, aftermarket etc sucks sometimes. Dealing with all the different insurance companies is a paint as well. I have State Farm and I recommend them haha.

Yeah mine was always the customers that wanted me to total the vehicle and it was nowhere close so they made the following months a living hell trying to blame every little problem(pre existing) on their 10 year old car and say the accident caused it. Haha
USAA and Progressive were always the best here.

haha, Progressive here isnt too bad. Country sucks, as well as the oddball compaines we see coming in all the time.

I appreciate everyones well wishes! I am definitely grateful to have walked away from this. The minute I turned around, after getting out, I almost cried seeing the 4runner. lol I knew it was totaled. I had it for 4 months and put about 7k miles on it. I loved it! If it werent for towing my car all the time, I would definitely be hunting for another 5th gen!

Thanks. I used to drive a fuel truck, so I spent 2 years constantly out in the rural areas delivering fuel to famers. We had so many safety meetings on the blind intersections once the corn got high. Never would have seen this coming though. I live about 2 miles from the intersection. Pass it everyday. For the 1st week, I couldnt go past the intersection at full speed, had to slow down quite a bit lol.

Damn! As others have said, glad you're okay. These things really do hold up well. I've been tempted to buy a Tundra as well (my wife & I both have 5th Gens) but after seeing this I think I'll keep it. If I get hit I want to be in something that holds up like that did.
