Corn fed 1.5/.5 on 19 Pro
So I have been lurking for while since we purchased the wife’s TRD PRO. We have had numerous runners and Tacoma. So far we have loved the fact of a stock done runner as our family DD travel rig. We do not wheel much sadly but it’s just our favorite SUV. Long story short I’m happy I have the TRD Pro but after a year closed in we notice just how bad this thing sways down the road. Twisty backroads we have and highway driving. We are not looking to lift this and go 285’s (Did it with my ‘15 and miss it now). Running SCS wheels and 265 BFG’s. No plan or need to go bigger.
What we are hoping to do is with a pre load spacer in front coils to tighten up how this thing floats down the road. In theory preloading the front will stiffen it. So I read a few of you have not noticed a change in ride quality at all. I would love to take away the little brake dive it has now. And from a stop and go it just lifts the front up like a boat. I have airbags in rear to help when towing or loaded down. Have played with 5-20psi empty to help firm the ride up. It helps but the weak point is still the front.
Anyone have hands on feedback of doing a spacer in front of the TRD PRO Fox suspension and noticing any help in float, brake dive, and body roll at all? I plan to stay at the 1.5” height I don’t have need or urge to lift. Just hoping to firm ride a bit. REALLY WISH we went with KDSS model now.
Thanks in advance.
