my v6 runner vs the v8 tahoe

I compare this conversation to betting on which rock will roll faster downhill.

Sorry those z's and mustangs drivers can't drive. Obviously if the driver can't drive then you will be faster since your just mash the pedal and go, but I've seen much faster mild modded z's and mustangs than that. With a good driver in those cars you'll lose.

Well I would hope so. If you put a 15 sec driver in a 10 sec car racing a 10 sec driver with a 15 sec car, the 10 sec driver will win everytime, but hey a wins a win.

I don't think E-85 will help you. When I ran it in my Ford truck it was a dog.

I'm assuming the ford had stock injector sizing yes? The thing for me is that I have to increase volume of the injectors in order to gain the advantages of E85. E85 has an octane rating of around 100-105 and has the ability to greatly reduce inlet charge temperatures resulting in better performance.

m thinking of running E85 for its cooling properties and see how that does along with completing my exhaust.

Unless your vehicle is a Flex Fuel vehicle DO NOT RUN E85.

Second...Even if it is a Flex Fuel vehicle..running E85 will give you WORSE performance and WORSE gas mileage.

This thread is worthless with out more information. What year and configuration tahoe is important. Have you ever drag raced is important as a good driver with good reaction times can make up for less performance. Has your friend ever drag raced and if so is he any good at it.

I race off road motorcycles, stupid people ask me how fast does it go.. I tell them it doesn't matter. They look at me sideways with a dumb look and I tell them our average speed in the woods is 25 mph so why do I care if it does 80 or 100..

You can polish a **** but it's still a ****...

Well this is comparing stock to stock. I think the runner might edge out...but i would be interested to hear how it goes. The stock yukon denali/escalade with the 6.0 runs 15 flat in the quarter. which is faster than any stock 4runner....so i guess it just depends. But an older tahoe with the 5.3 you should be able to take him.

That's why I was saying depends on year. I raced a buddy once in a v8 2wd 4runner an was smoked by his escalade. This was a few years ago

My 05 z71 silverado was faster than my 4runner I bet. That 5.3 v8 can run ok.
