Third Gen would throw VSC/Trac and CEL with an evap code, such as when the fuel filler cap was loose. Anyone know what Gen5 does in this scenario? This many lights seems like overkill, but maybe?

This is exactly what I think OPs issue might be.

Last week, I had a similar throw of codes a couple days after installing an aftermarket locking gas cap in my 19' Pro. Multi-terrain select lights came up on the dash, just like the pics here. It's the evap system sensor, yet it throws generic check engine and multi terrain lights for some reason. I resolved it by cutting the power, removing the cap, and tightening it a bit harder than I would normally.

Code hasn't returned.

Anyway, do you have an OBD2 reader or a similar scan tool? Plug it in and see what it says.

My 4th Gen threw up all those same lights when my gas gap malfunctioned. I had it 6 years and had to replace the cap twice because it went bad. Simple tightening the cap didn't help, I had to replace it. $10 on Amazon. First time the dealer said the computer gave him a couple codes and to fix it all was going to be over $1500.

I decided to try the route of just getting a new gas cap and unplugging the battery and seeing if they come back. And voila! Fixed.

On my Gen3 with a lot of miles, it turned out to be the filler pipe connection at the gas tank had degraded, probably from constant over-filling on my part. I'm sure that isn't the OP's problem, however.

Like Brick Sprickly suggested, pick yourself up a OB2 scan tool. This will save you from heading to the dealer so often. You can get a Bluetooth one for cheap off of amazon and download anyone of a number of compatible apps, I've used OBD Fusion for years.

Or, alternately, use a scan tool and get the code yourself so you don't pay ~$100 in labor for absolutely nothing.

Yeah they're dirt cheap. I got the plug in version I just keep in the center console, I think it was like ten bucks or so.

Well, I just got home from the dealer. It was the bulbs I put in last year. I guess they were drawing to much and started tripping the codes. so they put stock bulbs in for 40.00 bucks and I am now on the hunt for new bulbs since thewae bulbs are so dim.

IDK I have HID's from zenon but I bought these before they sold the company so I can no longer attest to the quality. I WILL NOT be spending HID money again (never had em just wanted to see what the HID hype was about) and will be doing the H9 conversion. So I would recommend that. Avoid LED's they scatter in our projectors and just blind everyone on the road.

IDK I have HID's from zenon but I bought these before they sold the company so I can no longer attest to the quality. I WILL NOT be spending HID money again (never had em just wanted to see what the HID hype was about) and will be doing the H9 conversion. So I would recommend that. Avoid LED's they scatter in our projectors and just blind everyone on the road.

Good read on bulbs. TLDR: LEDs in a halogen housing aren't that great. Especially when it comes to throw.

I'm running the GE 120s and am pleased with their performance over the stock H11s. I also have the Philips H9 and got an adapter for them. Will check out the differences later.

Do yourself a favor and try this conversion. It’s very inexpensive and works great. Try doing one side high and low beam and compare them at night to the unmodified side.
The pictures of the bulb mods are at post 122 and 123.
