N00b - '97 (First car!!)

Hey peeps, my dad made an account on the same 4runner but forgot the username :ybrick: but i'm back! (with my own account :nerd: ) Hoping to do some mods, and counting on asking some stupid questions, but I hear thats what teenagers do so... I'm Excited :hungry: I have a 1997 Black Limited (or imited as my 'L' has come off somehow) 2WD Auto and I love it. Hoping to get some good advice for some mileage/performance improving mods all DIY (to an extent...) So ya thats me, 16 year old SoCal born and raised. Honored to be on T4R.org and own my own 4Runna :thanks:

I'm in a similar situation, I just got my 4runner in February. I have done a few cosmetic mods (take a look at my albums). I know a few performance things I'm going to do is a cold air intake and a TRD catback system. And I'll probably throw in a 3 inch lift sometime.

Miss my 98. Totaled at 65 mph & walked away without a scratch.

Then had a 03 Highlander Base 2.4, traded it in on my 03 SR5 V8.

As of now it needs tires (bad) a oil change, and when I get the $$ change the diff fluid. Then see what kind of mods I can do, but for now she's stock.

Ya I actually found an '02 TRD catback on Utube but who knows if they sound the same.. and that one had a supercharger ahah. I was planning on a K&N intake but landed on a K&N high flow performance air filter and a deckplate mod (to try'n save some cash for that TRD exhaust )

Yep sucks big time.

I didn't buy it back from the insurance company (and now I'm kicking myself in the @$$ for not) but I got a little I've 5 grand for it and the carpet and seats were stained like a mofo. It ha 136k on it, 98 SR5 V6 2WD.

I miss it
