So far the plasti-dip is holding up pretty well, especially with all the rain we have been having here. I also go fishing once a week, and I drive down a gravel road with lots of deep potholes and rocks flying around (from getting stuck in my treads) to get there. And so far no scratches yet....

Thanks guys, I like the new stance too... One thing I didn't expect was increased wind noise on the freeway, good thing I always have music on or else it might bother me. Something to keep in mind for someone who wouldn't like more noise.
But now that I got about 50 miles on them, I gotta take all the wheels off, check and possibly re-torque the spacers...not looking forward to that at all since those tires are heavy as sh**. Maybe someone who has put spacers on before can chime in, did you have to re-torque your spacers?? I did use loctite, and am really trying to avoid taking my wheels off again. But then again I don't want a wheel to roll off either...

Where did you find the plasti-dip? And did you just paint the rims while the tires where on there? I really like the look and want to try this on mine.

Bought at home depot. If I can remember correctly, I bought 4 cans..... thinking I would use a can a wheel. But ended up only using about 3 for all of them. (Just used some of the leftover to paint my grill too) And yup I just painted them with the tires on, I taped all around the lip where the tire meets the rim. But if you do that make sure you peel it off right after your done spraying. If you don't then make sure you score the edges once its dry or you might end up peeling up the rubber off the rim. Been about 4 months, still holding up nicely

If I can remember right, I think I did 4 to 5.... And so far I'm really happy with it, and happy with it on the grill too. I have been through car washes, scoured the rims with a hard bristled brush, and power washed my rims as well. No signs of peeling or severe scratches. I'm thinking about doing another coat or two once spring hits. But so far its looking like I won't have to.
One of the best/cheapest DIY mods I have done so far.
***Edit*** The first coat I did was very light, you could still see plenty of silver from the rim underneath. And I made sure I waited about 45 minutes in between coats.

Thanks, their not the quietest tires around. Anything under 40mph is good.. 40mph+ with spacers and your going to have to turn up the radio. Doesn't bother me though.
Yup the spray can, and all I did was wash and scrub the rims up so they were clean and dry. That's it

Spent the entire day yesterday installing my body lift...by myself haha.
Went fairly well except for a few things
-The bolts for the front body mounts in the engine compartment were a B$&!@ to install.
For both I had to beat the sh!t out of them with a mallet to get them in, in fact
the passenger side just wouldn't go in, so I had to reuse the stock bolt for now.
-Get a jack that lifts at least 21" high, Good thing I had 2 blocks laying around that were about 8" thick
-The steering spacer seems almost impossible to install, the space is so tight you can't
fit a socket in there. You HAVE to use a wrench
-And don't try to do it by yourself....
But here's a preview until I find my camera
Measurements from ground to bottom of wheel well:
Front 38"
Rear 39.5"
Oh and unexpectedly, now I'm rubbing worst than I ever have in the front...and it's on the bumper not the
fender liner. So looks like I will have to cut into my bumper, which I didn't want to have to do. Oh well
