Need a 2010/11 Trail Edition

Silver! Not my first choice, but better than Shoreline Blue... The previous owner was even nice enough to install Shrockworks Sliders for me. Now the research begins... Suspension lift, ARB front bumper, TRD CAI, BFG MTs... Suggestions welcomed!



Should be delivered next week, I have looked at the pictures so much it's weird getting into my 96' 4runner at this point. I can't wait!

Patience pays off!

Since my last post I have been fed a constant line of BS from the dealer in Virgina. I wired a substantial down payment on the 25th of March and had all of the paperwork signed and delivered to them on the 31st, and at this point they still haven't shipped my vehicle. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I felt that this was unacceptable even for an out of state purchase. For the last two weeks I had given up on talking to the lady who originally sold me the vehicle and had talked to every sales manager, general manager at the dealership trying to get answers, to no avail. The line I was fed was "Because you financed through Toyota Financial we have to wait for them to pay us before we release the vehicle." Response "Okay?...? I'm pretty sure I can walk across the street to my local Toyota dealership and finance a similar 4runner and drive out on 4 wheels!" No answer, not even a sorry! "This is the process sir."

Since I was expecting the vehicle around April Fools, I know it was stupid to think it would really show up on that day, I have been ordering a whole bunch of Mods; Husky liners, LED's, OW lift, and they have been arriving daily; only increasing my anticipation.

To make matters worse I have been getting emails from said dealer congratulating me on my purchase offering extended warranties... Today I receive an email from them telling me they are giving away free iPad 2's to anyone buying a new or pre-owned vehicles, and I think "WTF!!!" "Are you kidding me?!?!" So I copy the flyer, and reply to all the people I have talked to and the GM at the dealership and pretty much throw a tantrum fit for a three-year old. No response...

Well I finally received a call from one of the sales managers this afternoon and he profoundly apologized for the lack of communication/wrong information/bold-face lies that I have experienced for the last three weeks. He said that there was no situation in which this process should have taken this long, and he was booking transport today, and sending a free iPad 2 with the truck.

Sweet! To be honest at this point a lot of the excitement is gone, hopefully it will return once I step foot in my new to me TE.

BTW, there is a new 4Runner TE for sale on ebay, it's silver, and in AZ. I think it's a 2010? Just an idea in case anyone is looking for a TE in the southern US....

I was ready to pull the trigger this morning on a TE in Colorado with everything I wanted. Turns out it was sold on Saturday... I'm sure the buyer is on this forum, congrats to you.

I would appreciate any tips on finding a TE with KDSS/Nav for sale. I am willing to travel as well as ship the vehicle into Texas. I am only avoiding Salsa Red and Shoreline Blue at the moment; however, this might change as I get more desperate.

I found one in San Antonio, TX North Park Toyota. It is black. Unfortunately it was not available when I was looking last week. Get it while it last.

Jbahr what was your first color choice?

I haven't got mine yet, but was going for silver. I do like black and i'm liking the magnetic gray more and more....

My first choice was Mag Grey and I found one in Denver. When I called to put a down payment on it, I found out it was sold hours earlier. Second choice was Silver, Black just gets too hot in Texas.

You got to move fast on these, especially bc of recent events in Japan. There are two Silver ones in Cali and a couple Black ones in the Northeast. There are some band new 2011 TE's littered around the North. I think the best program to search for them is Autotrader in the advanced search.
