Need a new phone. Lets Poll it!

ok so when looking for the flux capacitor under my 4r, i sat on my phone and cracked the screen. still usable for now. but its only a matter of time before it is officially useless...

and as of earlier this month i am available for upgrade...

so my options are:

1) New iphone 4s... for $200... i kinda like the iphones. but am also a droid freak.

2) New Droid 4... for $200... its a droid. but lately im getting irritated in the slacking of the system. now yes, it does have 4g... but depending where you are its useless sometimes.

3) pay $89 for insurance and get a "certified new" droid 3 (i think. its whatever is comparable to my phone now) i havnt contacted verizons insurance crap to fgure out what phone id get.

but i want to hear your pros and cons on apple versus droid, my sister has an iphone, so i have messed with them before. i dont hate em. i just dont know if i could leave droid.

I voted iPhone 4s because I've had iPhones since the 1st one
pros
lots of apps
dock connector is a plus (compatibility with iPod docks/connectors)
faster
doesn't crash as much
better battery life than the droids (these last 3 came from my GF who had a Droid before her iPhone)
you get to join the apple cult

cons
can't change the battery without taking it apart (never been a problem for me, but some don't like)
less open OS (less free apps)
smaller screen (than evo at least)
interface is less cool (which is part of the reason battery life is longer)
you have to join the apple cult

yeah im going to talk to my brother in law about it. my sis and him both have iphones, and he cracked his. so i think ill ask him about cracking it and see what i can do with it. also, i think i might wait for the iphone5 to come out, and see if the 4s drops in price.

x2. I'm still loving my OG Evo, running Cyanogenmod 7. But would get the Maxx in a heartbeat.

It was upgrade time for my Verizon phones and I decided that we better do this quickly before they start charging for Data packages.
The wife and I both got the Razr Maxx for $199ea and were able to keep our Unlimited Data Package.

We just got them last night and it is a big change from our Allys with Froyo....LOL!!

Definitely razr maxx. I got mine about 1-2mo ago and its awesome. Even my GF who has a iphone 4s and has refused to get any other phone than an iphone(she has had them since the original) is jealous of my razr maxx.
Its really been a great phone. Fast, great battery life, far improved camera over my old droid x, and just feels nice to hold and use.

Mine is up on verizon too and my droid X has a huge dead spot in the screen.

I cant decide if I should go with the razr maxx or wait for later this year and get the windows apollo 8 4g.. its supposed to be awesome and I'm a big windows guy.

I went from a iPhone 3GS to a HTC Vivid. I'm not understanding all the glitchies with droids. Love the huge screen and 4G LTE but I'd rather have the better OS on the iPhone. Maybe ill take it back, not sure.

yeah im definitely sticking with verizon. i get a 20% discount because of where i work, and i am still currently stuck on the unlimited data plan.

my phone is surviving currently. but i dont know how much longer / how many more times i can drop it before the screen fully cracks and becomes unusable. one con to touch screens. when i had my old lg flip phone... with just the green screen... i lasted almost a year with not being able to read the screen haha.

UPDATE;

the droid 3 comepletely died yesterday. i can see the screen if i tilt it right in the sun light... but not indoors or anything. so i had to decide. did some more research at work (slow day) and i ended up getting the iphone 4s.

so far i am liking it. smoother than the droid. but im still getting used to all the tricks and so forth so i am not gonna give my full opinion yet.
