Need advice on suspension set up

Long time lurker, been reading a ton of posts to try to settle on what to do with my '06. It is a SR5 4WD. 118k on the odo. My front struts need to be replaced so I want to just go ahead and do an upgrade.

I have looked a couple options for suspension systems. Right now I am thinking about doing a set of Fox 2.0 coilovers but cant decide on what to do in the rear. I dont really want to go higher than a 2" lift in the front and around a 1" in the rear. Just want to seriously improve on/off road capabilities for various types of trips.

I considered a full OME kit but from what ive gathered i would net more lift than I really want.

What do you guys recommend and what am I missing?

Bilstein 5100's in the rear.. Can never go wrong with those. Adjustable Toytec BOSS coilovers in the front should give you what you're looking for reading this

Hi. I am in a very similar position. I would be removing a now leaking XREAS SET-up. I was looking at the Toytec BOSS kit offering the toytecs at all four corners. Is there an advantage going with Biltstein in the rear instead of the full Toytec kit?

I have a new set of 895E I am selling. They are supposed to net about an inch. That said, I'm running Icon CO's with factory rear springs now and am very pleased. Of course I could be considered an oddball on this site since I lowered my runner after I lifted her.

if you want 1" in the rear 5100s would be an excellent cost effective option, and you could pair those with fj coils, either from an fj or made my moog, most have seen good results with those. complimented with a spacer you could easily reach the lift you want with a comfortable, firmer ride

I've been digging a lot on this topic. Albeit looking to replace spacers with 2 1/2 to 3" lift.
1) Reuse stock springs, add Billstein 5100's and scrap old struts and XREAS if equipped - Can adjust lift, but should be able to do 1" easily.
2) OME 894 in front with Toytex Superflex 2.0 complete kit - Net 2ish inches lift
3) You can always go spacers for lift, but since your replacing struts and not really looking at lift this looks like your last option.
