I've had a helluva few days and need some help.
2017 SR5 4x4
Cooked a wheel bearing on Driver Rear Axle at ~220k miles, so I told myself that it was time for some TLC which included new Duralast rear axle/hub assemblies on both sides (DLLA137 (DR) and DLLA138 (PR)), new Duralast rotors (71918), and New Duralast Ceramic brake pads (DE606).
Fast forward to initial shake down and everything was fine in the beginning. A couple of miles in, I get a grinding noise. Make it back home, gingerly. Start investigating and my Driver rear caliper is coming into contact with the inside of the brake rotor. It sheered the pad clip off and cooked a new rotor in the process. With the exception of the axles, I have previously utilized the brakes and rotors. The pads appear to be the same design and the rotors as well. The rotors might be slightly thicker, but I havent mic'd it yet. Nor have I checked the Passenger Rear.
Have I missed something? Any guidance?
