Update on search
Well, thanks to everyone who took the time to post to this thread, and utlilzing all the new-to-me stuff I learned about buying new cars, distributorships, etc:
I flew to DEN yesterday and in about 2 hours will head to Autonation Toyota Arapaho to pick up a 2015 4WD SR5! It has 10 miles on the clock. The deal is much much better than I could have gotten in Texas, it doesn't have things I don't want -- and I can add what I do at later dates. And the savings will pay for goodies.
The decision about the SR5 vs SR5-Premium (necessary to get the sunroof) was made for my by their available stock. A quick calculation shows that at $3/gallon eschewing the sunroof bought another 24,000 miles of travel -- yippee!!
Oh, yeah: it's Classic Silver.
Spent last night reading Antman's mindblowing mod thread. This morning I have been reading "How to break in an engine" threads. Sounds like a leisurely 1200 mile drive home, through mountains and then across the plains of eastern NM and west Texas will do nicely.
I'm making a list of "immediate" goodies to buy....
