2000 4Runner V6 Automatic no E-Locker button on dash it only has transfer case shifter & light at gauges. It resently acquired a long rotational grinding noise in the passenger front that gets loud enough to hear at around 25-30 mph I figured it was a bad wheel bearing took to shop they said wasn't passenger side bad it's driver side bearing so they fixed but said grinding noise is still there and that it's my front differential I picked up my 4Runner and yes same grinding noise from passenger front side I've read other posts on front end grinding sounds and I see some say put in 4x4 and if gets worse then front diff is shot well I tried that I put in 4x4 High and it won't make grinding noise but put back in 2 wheel drive and there's the grinding noise I know the ADD is locked in because when I'm in 4x4 & turn it's posi track jerking can the ADD not be disconnecting all the way when put in 2 wheel because of bad vacuum lines and causing this noise I'm hearing from passenger side or is it my diff bearings gone bad or could it be something else I'm not aware of? Shop said passenger wheel bearing is good. I will be checking front diff oil soon it's been raining & storming here in South Mississippi for days so I haven't had the chance to drain oil to check for metal in oil yet. Also my rearend is brand new had Toyota rebuild it several years ago seals went bad & the mechanic cut too deep with die grinder cut into my axles so they had to replace them as well so it's not a rearend noise trust me I know what that sounds like, lol. This noise I'm hearing sounds like from passenger front wheel & sounds like something is on the wheel and is grinding on the brake caliper as it comes around so it's not a fast noise it's a long rotation grinding scrubbing noise. So if anyone knows what this is or what it could be please comment or help steer me in a direction to look. Thanks

It has been parked since it came home from shop I don't want to drive it and tare up more. The shop said let's pull Cv axles to make it stop turning front diff & make it just a 2 wheel drive I said NO I'm not altering my 4Runner I'll park it figure out problem and fix it correctly!
