Need help pricing '88

Hey all,

I'm new here and hoping you guys could help me with figuring out a price for a 4Runner I'm trying to sell.

The truck is a red '88 SR5 4 cylinder, AWD, 5 speed with removable top. Completely rust free with ~86k miles on it. Original engine, transmission, and paint job with zero accidents and clean title, so to say this truck is mint is almost an understatement. The interior is absolutely spotless. The only changes made to this truck are that it has a new set of chrome wheels and the speakers and stereo have been swapped out for newer equipment. Does not have power locks nor windows.

I'm hoping to get an idea of what it'd be worth or what you'd personally be willing to pay for it. The pictures attached were taken a few months back, so excuse the pollen and my apparent inability to keep my hands steady.

I wasn't aware how poorly this picture came out, but you can at least see the '0' in the leftmost digit.

Your best bet is going to be to see what similiar trucks in your area are going for. Based on your pics, I wouldn't call it flawless, but it does look to be in decent shape. Prices people will pay are subjective, but if I was in the market I'd consider offering you $3500 or $4000 and going from there, but I'm not a freak for the low miles. Somebody who is might pay more.

I agree it looks very nice. I was going to suggest around the 4-5k range depending on how bad someone wants such a rare-good-condition first gen.

Yep. They just go for less in the mid-Atlantic area, and way higher in the PNW.
Not saying he might not be able to get more.

Got mine from the mid atalantic, for a great deal Although hard to find these around there with absolutely no rust.
The interior had some of the common issues (console lid, shifter knob, worn carbet) but it does look to be in overall good shape. I would find some oem rims and stick them back on. Somebody who really cares about low mileage is going to care about the wheels being factory (at least I would). I would pay 4k for this truck with no rust and running great at 86k miles.
