need help with mic installation

i purchased a japan mic to install into my 06 nav. i got the r26(r10 sienna) connector.
i tied pin 12 and 18 together.
pin 17 (macc) to the red wire from jap mic
pin 19 (mic+) to the yellow wire from jap mic
pin 20 (mic-) to the white wire from jap mic

i left the black wire from the jap mic alone.

i could make the call, but i got lots of statics.
can anyone help me out here with the wiring
and why i got static.

(main thing is i don't know which wire is correspond to
in the jap mic)

i read a thread posted by sean, but didn't help me much
as to the wiring on the jap mic i don't know.

the mic that i got has no manual of any kind.

revised: actually i grounded the black wire first, i still got static/distortion.

any help!

cd won't play now after it jammed up. it says cd error.
mic won't transmit signal now. i could hear the other
party, but they cannot hear me now. i left everything
alone after last post. but, after cd jam now i have 2 more
problems.
