At walmart they have a thing in the car paint section that is a spray on bug guard/Cra bra thing. It sprays on and looks black and i guess will gueard against bugs if you are going on a long trip or somehting, and then it supposedly just washes right off (wouldnt think it would be too good in the rain) but that may be good to check out on your rims for a temporary black.

No sorry i dont know the brand name, i was just picking up some cleaning wipes and saw it today, read the can cause i thought it was interesting, but dont remember the name.

I think the black rims will look good on the Silver , I would spend the money and have the prof. powder coated though.

As far as the rubbing , I've had no problems.

The temporary spray-on bug shield is Shield by Dupli-color. It comes in clear (looks more like a frost white) and black. I've use clear before, but haven't tried the black yet. It will not wash off in the rain or even if you hose it. It comes off some what with a pressure washer. Pretty much the only way to get all of it off is handwashing.

I got mine from Kragen, they're about $10/can.

YUP, and UNEEK is prolly talking about the same stuff, it was with a bunch of other DupliColor paint, but I wouldnt have thought that it was also made by duplicolor (or remembered).

Just go ahead and do it, get them PC'd black!! I think it will look good on a silver truck. It would be easier to do it before you have the new tires mounted.

Im gonna have to go with the temp paint first. I am in finals week right now, and have to get my new tires so my car can pass inspection. I cant afford to have my wheels off the car for 4 days, as thats how long they told me it would take to powdercoat. Apparently this magic color paint lasts up to 4 years with extreme use. If thats the case, I will just leave it as it is assuming it looks good.
