Need help with wheels for my wife's birthday ASAP!!!

Her current setup is a 2014 4Runner sr5 4wd. She has the 17" wheels with brand new bfg all terrain 265/70/17. Stock size. I am wanting to keep the tires but switch to a black wheel that will cause the tire to sit flush with the outside of the fender flares roughly. The stock setup appears to be an inch or so in. She wants it to look beefier!

If I do this will I run into any rubbing issues with this tire? I don't wann have to cut body mounts or anything if possible.

Could you please provide me with some direct links to wheels as I'm running out of time? In the meantime I will continue to do research myself but I only have 4 more days!!!!

For the short term, until you can do your appropriate research, pull out the black plastidip with a coat of glossifier. Flat black looks low rent, IMO.

Here is my wife's MINI with gloss black wheels (factory finish, mind you).

Who knows, she might like it enough to leave it with the dip saving you considerable money.

If you're staying stock size you should have almost no issues.

I really think you should take your time and not buy something in haste. Do what ^^^^ said to buy some time. I would look into SCS or FN WHEELS. Most likely any wheel you like will have to be ordered, so I think you're already out of time.

Since you have that color of ride you need the SCS SR8 in their black and grey finish. She would love it.

I have 17x9 wheels that have a -12 offset. I found that it gives me a flush look. I would make sure you really research and look at pictures of others rides. I ran plasti-dipped wheels and took my time. Spent years researching and second guessing. Ultimate, I love the stance that gave me.

Call FN wheels or SCS. Both make/stock wheels specifically designed for Toyota trucks with perfect fitment and are of high quality. They can probably have something at your door in a few days. Doubt they gift wrap though ;-)

While I completely agree with this my wife doesn't. She'd rather make the mistake and live with it. It not so much which wheel looks best it's which wheel will give it the wider offset and not rub if possible. I appreciate your feedback.

I have the FN overlander spec b wheels in bronze but they look sharp in black. You have to call them to order as they don't have them on the website. But Dustin is cool and easy to deal with.

Thanks for all the feedback. We ended up going with American outlaw hollywood 17x8.5 -10 offset. She loves the way they look. There is a slight rub on front left while turning hard right in reverse. Easy fix
