Duratracs!
Just went through the worst snow storm in something like 20 years up in Portland. Got to give the new tires a try and am impressed completly with them, they tracked anywhere I steered them to. I'm sold, I will get another pair, my biggest concern though is not snow, because we just don't get enough of it, but where they shine is wet roads, that we see a lot up here (present season excluded) but compared to my last set which were BFG at/ko it's apples and oranges. The BFG did absolutely horrible in the wet conditions for me I was very unimpressed. Yes they wear like iron and can expect 60,000 out of them but I'll go for confidence rather then longevity.
But everyone has an opinion, and mine may be biased, I do have to mention that getting them balanced was a pain in the ASS I had to go to 3 different Americas Tires before I found a tire tech able to do it right. One guy even tried to pass off a tire that had weights in two different locations on the outside rim.........I couldn't help but laugh!......I guess what do you expect for an 11 dollar an hour job.
