Need help

Anyone know where I can find a replacement seat belt assm. for a 1986 4-Runner. I need the driver side assm. Prefer tan but will take anything. The spring is weak and will not retract all the way. I cut some of the belt length to try and wind the spring more to tighten it...didn't work

That's a common problem on 20+ yr old truck. All 3 of mine have it.
There's an online article how to rewind the spring for more tension, but I tried and it didn't work on mine, it's too worn out.
Pick-up belts don't mount that same, tried that too.

A parts yard is always a good place to look. My old 87 had that problem, so I took them apart and clean them good. It worked for me, plus I found a quarter lodge in one of them.

Thanks to all of you.
Ended up purchasing an Advanced Auto lap belt for $20.00. They keep a stock of them for all the folks that bring their vehicles to Pigeon Forge for auto shows but left their seat belts at home.
