Hey guys im in need of some new tires and thinking ill spend a little tax return money.
Im looking for a 265-70-17, I have a daystar 2.5/1.5 lift on it. I don't offroad, just looking for a decent looking/cost efficient tire that is good on highway/rain/snow.
any thoughts on this?

If offroad is not a concern, have a look at Michelin's LTX M/S II. We put them on my wife's '08 a few months back. Not a cheap tire but, quieter and better handling than stock, especially in the rain. It and it's predecessor are probably the best tire I've ever driven on a truck in the rain with both my former 93 Ford Exploder and her '08 4Runner. Wife also gets good fuel economy with it...she averages 20-22 mpg overall. Expect 50,000 miles or more if you drive them right.
FWIW, my experience with all-terrain tires is that they aren't quite as good as a tire designed primarily for the highway tire in the rain. I've run BFG, Nitto, Toyo, Goodyear, Cooper, Hankook, Pro Comp et al over the last fifteen years because I usually end up putting 40-50,000 miles on my vehicles annually. Most all of them make decent tires for daily drivers but, if you don't do off-road, you're probably better off with a highway tire and will benefit from a quieter ride and slightly better fuel economy. There is one tire I'll call out from personal experience as the second worst tire I've ever owned after Firestone's Wilderness A/T that used to come on the Ford Explorer.
As much as everyone loves Nitto Terra Grapplers, my experience with them left me itching to burn them off my '03 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 in 2008. Once I wore them out, I never looked back. For 38,000 miles, the truck felt like it was cornering on wet diapers. It had OK grip in a straight line and handled sand very well. Mud, real mud, not so much but, that's true of most all-terrains. But that whole soft/wobbly sidewall thing just wasn't cool. If it at least leaned consistently, I could deal but the truck just never, ever drove right through anything but the slowest and gentlest turns with Nitto Terra Grapplers on it and I've refused to even consider Nittos for anything else as a result. Your mileage may vary.
