Need refinishing advice

So long story short I had my rock sliders powder coated by a local wanker TWICE and ready to consider other options outside of going back to them.

Do you folks feel I should strip this down to the bare metal or scrape off the loose powder coat to the best of my ability, scuff the rest and paint over?

I'm planning on spray painting these myself so I can retouch if needed in the future.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

As a side note: I'm handling things with the powder coater in regards to a refund.

I think i would have them sand blasted, and start over from scratch.

agreed^ It's only a matter of time for other areas to look like that.

Disassemble them first. It looks like the plasma or laser cut edge needs to be blasted or ground before paint or powder will stick. If you don't get the paint or powder all over, the areas will start rusting and creep around.
