Need some help deciding between 265's and 275's.....

I have driven in wet and icy/snowy conditions. They work great, much better than the KO2s on my old Raptor. I have not driven the 265 P metric Wildpeaks, so I can't speak on the difference.

That's really helpful. Maybe I will bite the bullet on the loss of fuel economy (weight increase) and get the 275's, unless someone here has driven both the P metric 265's and can tell me they are markedly better than the 275's for icy roads/traction. I'll likely be moving to northern AZ and the winters will see light snow.
I hated the LT E load KO2's on my GX 460 for rain/wet traction, and I lived in a place that got a lot of rain at the time. Those tires could not have been worse for that purpose. I was an inexperienced tire buyer at the time-- lesson learned.

I got the 275 C-rated Wildpeaks installed today: actually tightened up the ride over my previous P-rated Coopers. Less washy/squishy. No noticeable impact on acceleration, braking, etc.

Fwiw, they are BIG tires and they do rub a little bit for me. They look more like 285s than 265s IMO.

I'm in this same boat but have a slightly different issue. I'm worried about offset.

I'm looking at 18x9 with either a +1 or -12 offset. Worried the -12 may stick out too far (though I Want a little) and the +1 will tuck under and look weak. I'm having hell finding wheels that'll fit the tires and not have a positive offset. I should mention I'm getting a 3" lift kit put on the 4Runner.

I'm looking at either a 275/65/18 or a 265. The ones I really like are the Falken ATIII, but the Nitto and the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 look good as well. We're on a rocky road and we get rain and snow, but we have a long drive there and don't want to be overwhelmed by noise.

I just really don't have a clue and don't want to sink 2,500 into a package I'll regret later. I want an aggressive look, good traction in rain and snow, and though it'll be taken off-road, I'm not running the Jeep Jamboree in it.

Do y'all have tire/wheel suggestions for that?

Haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Was waiting to get closer to 20k miles before making the change. I’m leaning towards exactly what you got — the C rated 275 Falkens. Where I’m moving to in northern AZ will see a moderate amount of snow and some wet summer months. I’m thinking that in terms of traction, there won’t be a huge difference between 4 ply P rated 265’s and the 6 ply C rated LT 275’s.
E load is a different story and I can see why the wet traction differences would be noticeable between the p metric and 10 ply E load tires.

I’ve had the 275 Falken’s for a little over a year. Had a small balancing issue early on but discount tire took care of it. Haven’t been off road much but we just got 6-8” of snow/ice and they’ve done awesome. I was running 4wd on unplowed roads but put it in 2wd just to see and they clawed right thru. These things are great but they do come with a mileage hit. I average around 17 mpg city and maybe 19 hwy. I feel like at more confident off road and in the snow. They look great but do come at a cost with the mileage. But it’s a 4Runner not a Prius so I don’t care. Slight rub when backing and turning on hills. Minor trimming will take care of it. I’ll try to post pics later on.

If you want a beefier tire with good performance tire that looks awesome the Falken is great. If you want a smooth/efficient tire go with something else.

Would love to see pics. Do you own a Pro or other model? I'm asking b/c most Pro owners haven't complained of any rubbing with the 275's (w/o mods).
