I went to Hungry Valley with couple of my friends from Titan site. We had lots of fun. We should set up a trip for Toyota 4runner meet there. We didn't have a dedicate person to take picture. It was cold outside so I didn't many pic at all.

I followed up after the Titan to this hill. I was the last one so no pic for me. :bash:

Here is the shot from top after I made it up there. The picture doesn't do justice. You can see how high the hill by the size of the trailers and people at the bottom.

At camp. It was sunny and turn to snow in 5 minutes.

Here is the video of DAC in action. It was the best invention since slice bread.

That looked like a fantastic time. I'm down to gather some 4Runners for Hungry Valley. There's some great trails over there.

I need to go back to that hill again. That was an awesome one to climb. You will be supprise the the ability of the 4runner.

Are the Titan guys doing better these days? When I had mine the rear axles were structurally challenged and the front axles would wander out of the diff if a lift kit was installed. I hope they're better 'cause it was a great driving truck. The engine and tranny were wonderful. Except for the rear axle issue everything about mine said it would make 250k.

That place looks like so much fun! I'm so jealous. Florida has some nice points about it but overall I'd rather be out west.:cheers:

Are these the same set of hills? If it's the same one I'm thinking of, glad to hear the 4Runner has no problem making it. It's a pretty steep hill. I think this was overlooking the otherside.

The hills in the below pictures are nothing compare to the one that we climbed. I don't think 2WD can make to the top. The hill was very, very steep. I took the picture on the right side of the hill. We climbed the left side (see pic of red truck).

I had the Titan 2004 almost 2 yrs no broblem. I need more "efficient" gas vehicle. I got 8 mpg on mine. I had 8" lift and MT tires. They kill the mileage very bad.

No lift or big tires for me, 1 service bulletin for the A/C and 1 rear axle in 43k. The new gen rear axle should be fine forever, they changed the design a bit.

I loved it except for the 12mpg. I speculated $5-6/gallon gas last Sept and got the 4Runner. Love my T4R!:biggrin2:

after you activated the DAC, what is the speed you think the 4R was going down hill? it seems a bit quick in the video, or will the DAC determine the steep level and adjust the down hill speed by its own?

I didn't pay attention to the speedometer. If I have to guess, 1-3 mph. I didn't use DAC (step on the gas pedal) on the last 30 ft of the trail. I don't think DAC adjust to the steep of the hill.

Let me tell you. I never get another SUV with DAC. There was a big difference between using DAC and without DAC. A 9 yrs old kid can guide a vehicle down steep hill no problem with DAC. It was just my oppinion. I didn't have anything to prove it.

You have to take your foot off the brake. Don't be scare. It's modern techology:biggrin2:

My 4runner very much stock. I have 3" Cornfed lift. 285x70x17 BFG Rugged Trailed tires. The tires only have 30% tread left. The down hill on video was nothing compare to the one that I went with the red Titan (on pic).

BTW: The people at the trailers, bottom of the hill took the video of us. They were whistling and cheering after we made it to the top. They got my email address and promissed to send me the video. I can't wait the see it. They said, "We will send you the video to prove your moment of glory". I replied "May be the moment of stupidity"
