So... I guess the only question left is: Is your toyota pulling the jeep or is the jeep pulling your toyota?

Well..umm..The jeep was scared to go through and he kept debating on it. His words when I told him to go. "Maybe? I dont know it looks kinda deep" I told him fine Ill go first.

Soooo... I did and made it half way through. The jeep didnt even try it after he pull me out.

It was fun though!!:biggrin2:

Apparently you've never heard the phrase "Discretion is the better part of valor." (LOL). Sorry, but I gotta side with your buddy on this one--there's nothing heroic about driving into water of unknown depth. Ever hear of hydro-locking, or having to redo all your electrics after they were submerged? I commend you for having fun, but even the pros will poke a stick in the water before risking their rig. Just a tip, friend.

I agree 100% I'll be damned if I'm going to risk my rig on an unknown "puddle" for the sake of fun.

I have no problem admitting it was dumb. I was a newbie but that was like a year or two ago. Im a little more cautious now hahhahah

^^ I did the same thing to some extent when I first got into to wheelin. Cost me a headgasket. Live and learn I guess.

About 3 days after I got my 92 I took it to some local mud holes and trails and gave it hell I ended up breaking a CVaxle. And by the way I bought it as my DD lol.

^^Ditto. Takes forever to clean up. Unfortunately is inevitable up here.

I agree 100% I avoid the mud at all costs! Too much clean up, not that much fun in my opinion and all the junk that you cannot clean or don't clean just helps promote rust and corrosion. I'm good with the rocks and trails that aren't too muddy.

It's game on when I get to Colorado and do my solid axle swap! I already have an axle from an 85, I just need to get my kit and install it.

That's more like it guys! I just got my new to me runner and haven't been able to take it off road yet. So it sits in the driveway right now. I do have plenty of pics of my 85 lux though.

You moving to Colorado? I've been trying to get there for years. Just hasn't happend yet. :rockthrow:

Never been a huge fan of deep mud. Personally I like snow :driving: However I am in just about every environment around oregon so my rig sees just about everything. Mine is the dark blue one and my buddy has the white 88.
