New 2nd Gen in Knoxville, TN

Hello all. I recently picked up a 2nd gen, 1995 3.slow, automatic, with about 165,000 miles and zero rust for $900. I feel like I got an awesome deal. I took the truck in for a PPI and there were a couple of minor issues, but nothing needing immediate attention.

The truck came with 285/75's on 16inch Toyota wheels. The only immediate need was new tires and yesterday I picked up a set of Yokohama Geolander A/T-S (pic is before the new tires). I believe it has the 4.6 gear ratio based on the door panel. My DD is a c63 AMG, but this girl will still get a good bit of use.

Any ideas on where the wheels/rims came from? From my research, the 95 came with 15inch wheels. Late model 4Runner or Tacoma maybe?

My initial plans are to catch up on maintenance that may or likely has not been done, change the oil, flush fluids, spark plugs and wires.

The PPI also revealed a leaking rear shock. The truck has the common rear sag so I will probably address it when I replace the shocks by adding either spacers or a slightly longer set of springs.

Driving through cow pastures and on dirt and gravel is about the most off roading the vehicle will see so I don't foresee a ton of mods.

Really does look like it is in good condition for a 95
 
I've logged about 700 miles with no issues whatsoever. Slapped on a wheelskins steering wheel cover as the original was in rough shape and plan to replace the rear shocks on the next few weeks. I'm getting about 13mpg. I still haven't figured out what the 16 wheels came off of.

That looks exactly like my brother's 4runner except i hate to say yours looks like it is in better shape.

He live in Sewanee TN…y'all should get together.

Ive also never paid much attention to rims but they look like they are 3rd gen?

Nice truck. I bought mine for 900 and it ran but didnt drive so awesome buy. Incase you haven't found out those are 3rd gen 4runner rims. I think also the 1st gen tacomas had them.

Thanks for the info. I thought they were likely from a 3rd Gen 4runner but wasn't sure.

I had two of them on mine for a while with my buddies 33's before i did my lift and went up to 35's. Also if you don't mind paying for shipping I am parting out a 2nd gen and i have alot of odds and ends im trying to sell If you happen to be looking for anything

This is the Rola Vortex with extension. I did the install and it's fairly easy. There are a number of complaints with the Rola's dripping rust/sludge on the body, but I haven't had any issues. It does sit fairly high and I'm unaware of any lowering brackets/solutions for 2nd gen's.

EDIT: It looks like the posted picture may be prior to adding the 18-inch ROLA extension.

Hoping to replace the leaking rear shocks this over Christmas and am looking into maybe replacing the rear springs as well.
